The jack pine clicks against the breeze
snow stutters and then speaks
the birds, huddled and warm
chirp
at the small quiet sun
I hear the rustle of joy
as hearts unwrap
to a new world
that is dancing on its toes
arms bustle and open
the fervent chanting of souls
once lost in the wild
now re-discover
sacred friendships
This exalted music
ribbons upwards
into the firmament
threads through the murmuring of galaxies
and braids into the songs of the cosmos
songs
that have been echoing throughout creation
long before
the earth was born
