In Agreement

They say the world is made up of Light
The field fireflies flicker in agreement

The physicist says that time is slippery
The worm in the soil slides in agreement

The happy rain says our earth is a water world
The loon on the lake calls out in agreement

The southern wind says the earth is warm
The desert sands rustle in agreement

The snowflake says the earth is cold
The frosted branch bows in agreement

The dragonfly says life is freedom
The teal blue swallow soars in agreement

I say that reaching heaven is a marvel
And you, still snagged on a doubt,
Pull away
and yet
whisper your agreement.
